Idina Menzel

Ballet student who Martha encouraged to go to Manhattan to study further. She was brilliant and multi-talented.  In the meantime she is a Toni Award Winner of Wicked (Elphaba) and Toni nominated for Rent.  She worked in movies such as Enchanted, Rent the movie, and is currently on live concert tour

Alexandra Ansenelli

Studied Balliet with Martha and then went on to the New York City ballet where she became a principal dancer performing in major roles. She moved on to the Royal Ballet in London also as a principal dancer. She was a Princess Grace Awards winner in 1997 and named one of "25 to Watch" by Dance Magazine in 2003.

Heather Matarazzo

For many years Heather studied with Martha musical Theater, Ballet and Jazz. She received a scholar ship from the Martha Merideth Dance Studio.

In the meantime Heather has made acting her career. Her breakthrough role was as a geeky girl in the film Welcome to the Dollhouse. She played Lilly in The Princess Diaries and The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement. Her other movies include The Devil's Advocate, Scream 3, Sorority Boys, Saved!, and Hostel: Part 2.

Gracie Azmitia

Grace studied ballet with Martha and went on to become a dancer at the Ballet Hispanico in Manhattan. After that she was  engaged as a soloist at the Royal Danish Ballet in Denmark.

Aarti Rmananda

Has studied with Martha for many years. She is now a principal dancer in an Indian Dance company.

Mara Reiner

She was one of Martha’s ballet students. She went on to Ballet Hispanico, then to Mark Morris Dance Group as a principal dancer for 5 years. Mara danced the role of Barbie Doll in the Hard Nut Ballet.

John White

Studied Musical Theater with Martha for several years. Matha encouraged him to study ballet – he refused. Through circumstances he ended up as a leading dancer with the Washington Ballet.

Ariana Di Lorenzo

She studied ballet and musical theater, Jazz with Martha. She was cast on a off-broadway show and then went on to study at NYU Tisch school of Arts and graduated with a Drama/Journalism double major.

Margie Randi

Margie Randi was Martha’s first student.  At an early age, Margie was afflicted with polio and had a hard time even bending her legs throughout her childhood.  With much strength and determination, she was able to overcome her weaknesses and turn them into her strengths.  Margie was such a prolific student, Martha recommended her for a coveted position at Jacob’s Pillow, The University of the Dance, Lee, MA.  Upon her graduation, she went on to further success at the Julliard Dance Department and subsequently became the head of the Dance Department at Indiana State University.

Current Students

Stavroula Couliardianis (16 years old)

Martha was solicited by the Billy Elliott producers to help casting roles of the young ballet dancers. She sent 3 girls from her school to audition. Stavroula was the final pick for the role.

In the meantime she has auditioned for the American Ballet Theater and has been accepted for the 2012 Summer program.

Faith Liang (10 years old)

Faith auditioned and received an un-solicited scholarship form Joffrey’s Ballet for the 2012 Summer program


About Our Classes

Martha Meredith Studios offers Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced and Professional level classes for all age groups. Private lessons are also available year round.
