Long Island Dance Consortium, 2007 - premier of Fashion Field Fantasy, April 28, 2007Martha's newest choreography, Fashion Field Fantasy, premiered on Saturday, April 28. It was dedicated to her teacher, Luigi, who was also honored this same evening with a Lifetime Achievement Award. Fashion Field Fantasy is the story of a security guard who fall asleep in a haute couture fashion house. The mannequins come alive and dance with him. When the morning comes, is it a dream or did it really happen? Martha costumed the two women in actual wedding dresses! Imagine the fun the dancers had getting dressed in wedding gowns as young as they are! They went and helped selected the gowns and got fitted for them just as every bride does. The piece consisted of three movements: Tango, Salsa and Waltz. Each portion was delineated by the classic style of the form, uniting ballet and ballroom into a captivating storyline. The audience was wildly enthusiastic to this most memorable piece.
These photos were taken during dress rehearsal so as not to interrupt the performance. Photos by Cathy Slatas.

June Dance / Theatre Concert, June 11, 2006Martha staged a Western flavored choreography to open her 47th Student Concert. Martha Merideth's staging of the piece sought to expose the dancers and the audience to the lighter and sweeter side of the classical ballet.
Long Island Dance Consortium 2006Martha created a special work for the 2006 Long Island Dance Consortium performance. In her continuing project, Daring Shadowgraph Dances, titled Carousel. It tells the story
